  • Total Distance: 39km

    Total Ascent: 1500m

  • 1 Day Trek

  • Accommodation can be organised in/near Ingleton for the nights before/after the trek. We can look into hotel or hostel options, depending on your preference.

  • This challenge is difficulty ranked: 3.5 out of 5.

Be prepared for longer distance treks with a higher overall ascent and up to 12 hours trekking for a single day event. For multi day treks, daily durations are likely to be lower although effort will be sustained over a longer period. Longer duration long haul trek days are likely to be shorter, however, you may need to be more resilient due to less home comforts, i.e using same clothes for several days, basic facilities if staying in mountain refuges, simple food etc. Escape routes may still be well available or may be less existant for longer mountain based routes.

You will need to have good endurance for these events. You must be out regularly on long countryside walks for 5-7 hours over 13-16 miles, alongside purposeful ascent training of 300-450m. You should be keen on regular exercise, ideally with some running. Your running speed should be around 10-11 minute miling for a minimum of 3 to 5 miles. If you do not run, you should be a regular at the gym/pool/spinning class building in sessions of 1.5hr+ at a moderate to high level.

Registration management and support

your on-event support team

Leaders/Marshals will support the group along the correct route and ensure everyone is safe and accounted for.

Our Leaders/Marshals are extremely experienced, often with top-notch local knowledge, carry appropriate resources and are first-aid trained.

Included on events for larger numbers, a support vehicle is on hand for emergency support (where accessible) and refreshment provision. Often an 8-seater or similar, it acts an essential resource in the event of participant fatigue or injury.

On long day treks, the support vehicle can carry water and refreshments to be offered to participants at appropriate checkpoints.

Our team love nothing more than helping fellow walkers achieve their potential. They'll be there when you falter, to give you a helping hand, some encouraging words, or even a stern talking to. Their support will see you through so that, at the end of your challenge, you'll be able to stand there and say

i did it!
